Hi.... I'm driving R56 mini CooperS my problem was smoke on tail pipe, burning oil, oil pressure warning light on dash after driving short distance, some said is a Head gasket, Valve seal, some said oil pressure warning light is caused by loose oil pump chain, But I solved all that by changing Thermostat only and all the problem was gone, no more Smoke, oil light and burning oil

Not overheating at all, it was just a smoke after driving a little bit, I thought it was the coolant line to the Turbo, because I only replaced the Thermostat and even the problem of burning to much oil is no more , since I top up my oil it stays on a same level, and also the oil pressure light was always coming after i drove little miles normally when u reduce speed red light of oil will flash, but since I Replace Thermostat all that are history. Remember R56 Turbo Mini use water to cool down the turbo and oil in the Turbo
