Gas cap and check engine light

Asked by Tamsuez3 Jun 10, 2017 at 12:18 AM about the 2017 RAM 1500 Big Horn RWD

Question type: General

I have had a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 for
a month I bought it brand-new you had
six miles on it today I went to put gas in
my truck and when I did that I noticed
that my gas cap was gone the only way
this could have happened was it
somebody stole it but shortly after that
I noticed my check engine light came
on is there a possibility that that light
came on because my gas cap was
missing I went and bought a new gas
cap and put it on hoping the light would
go off but it did not I've only had this
truck for a month and like I said it only
had 6 miles on it I don't feel like the
light should be on already

Vapors from where you park can cause the engine light to come on too. Landlord lets tenants across the street park in our driveway. He makes us share the driveway but every tenant has had vehicles leak everything from transmission fluid, oil, etc. DEC was of no use as we were told by the Landlord to never f..ing call DEC again. On top of causing engine light problems I just realized on 4 13 19 that the reason why I have been sick for 4 1/2 years is the toxic waste by by window along with the tenants idling their cars for 45 minutes to an hour at a time.

Lori wish I could I am disabled from getting hit by two drunk drivers vehicles when I was 16. Too much for legal aid can not get anyone to help. Karma, they say is a you know what. Landlord has been putting out a lot of money on evictions and tenants not paying rent. Not only across the street but other residences he owns in town as well. The latest tenant across the street not only not paying rent, but is a known coke user too. The LL bought her a washer and dryer with her paying back and put the gas bill in his name as well. She is not paying for that either. I am sitting back and watching the fireworks go off. It will be a show.
