I had the same issue on my 2017 Civic LX sedan. I removed my phone from the device list and the issue was still there. I found this video and followed the instructions in this video to reboot the head unit. After the reboot, I paired my phone to the car and now the incoming call message is gone and my bluetooth connected phone works again. I don't think you need to remove and re-add the phone. Just reboot the head unit as per the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_7D-tew6OI or search YouTube for "2016 Honda Civic - Radio Reset / Reboot"

I’m not sure if you’re still having the problem. However I recently discovered the issue is with the Honda Firmware for the media system. Search Honda 18-081. Unfortunately the firmware download is behind a dealer code. Hope this helps. 2017 Civic Hatch
