Car wont start

Asked by Big2131will May 19, 2016 at 02:18 PM about the 2005 Honda Accord Coupe EX with Leather

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What's the problem? My car won't start, it's been
happening for the past few weeks. It will give me a
click but eventually start after a couple trys. Now it
won't start at all. All my dome lights and headlights
work and radio but it won't crank. I've tried getting
a new battery, that wasn't it. My car is sitting
outside of my school..HELP!!!

you have one of two problems... Either you have a dead starter (most likely) -or- You have a broken timing belt (not as like because the car would attempt to start, but would not start up).

sounds like the starting motor crapped out, time for a new one. a dead battery will give several clicks, bad starter will usually only give one solid sounding one.

You really shouldnt, the starter has live wires connected to it and you could get quite a shock-- you can try though.

My nephew bought a 2015 Honda coupe. In the morning he would go to start it and it would start and shut back off. He would do this a couple times before it starts up and stay crunk. Any time the car cools off it does this. This morning he went to start it up it would not start at all. Please help.
