my car started over heating and I drove it home
and it turn off and doesn't want to start

Good chance that you badly damaged the engine ,, are there any dash lights or check engine light? Modern aluminum engines are not as tolerant as the old cast iron were to overheating. Open the hood and if your lucky perhaps you will see something easy to fix
