Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2005 Honda Accord Coupe was overheating last summer. The mechanic changed the
thermostat and the water pump for me. A few weeks later the car was overheating again,
this time he changed the head gasket. I drove the car for several weeks and noticed
again that the heat was only lukewarm. I changed the heater control valve last week and
the heat was improved significantly. While driving the car for a few hours this afternoon, I
noticed the heat turned again to lukewarm to cold. What could it be?

Did you ever add any stop leak products to your cooling system? If so the heater core could be stopped up. Also feel both hoses going to heater core. Are both hot? Is only one hot?
