I filled my brand new flex fuel Ford with E-85 and now am having problems it. Is this usual?

Since your vehicle is brand new and this problem is related to the powertrain, then take it back to the dealer for warranty work. E85 shouldn't cause you any mechanical problems, it's just a lousy gas - cheaper but the tradeoff is worse MPG.

E-85 is a great high octane fuel that will not cause any issues with your vehicle unless it was contaminated with water. You will get less mpg with E-85 than regular unleaded. Take it to Ford as suggested.
