1999 Ford Explorer Sport Timing Chain Tensioners

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What is the correct type of timing chain tensioner that goes on my 1999 ford
explorer sport with 4.0 SOHC for the upper driver side?

On a 4.0 SOHC if the tensioner is shot, suspect the plastic guides to be in need of servicing also. The car is about 20 years old. Problem with the 4.0 is the front tensioner and related parts can be changed while the engine is in the vehicle. Unfortunately there is a chain and tensioner for the other side. It is in the rear and the engine has to be removed from the vehicle to service.
