car quits going down the road when it's hot

mechanic said it's either the fuel pump or the fuel rail I don't think so acts like it vapor locks any ideas

I was thinking vapor lock too but fuel injected cars don't usually do that. Scan for codes even if the check engine light is not on. Some vehicles a sensor will heat up and fail, then start back up when cooled off. I've see crankshaft position sensors do that on certain vehicles. Good Luck
