Difficulty pumping gas after changing fuel pump/sending unit.
I recently changed the fuel pump on my jeep liberty because the top flange
of the sending unit cracked resulting in a evap leak. Dropped the entire tank,
put in new Delphi sending unit, replaced leak detection pump as well. After
the installation I drove the vehicle to complete the drive cycle procedure to
clear the monitors. Once the cycle was completed I attempted to fill the jeep
and it would take little gas. When filling it sounded like the leak detection
pump was kicking on every time the fuel began to back up. I did not have
this issue prior to dropping the tank and changing the fuel pump. Additionally
there was no visible damage to the roll over valves when the tank was
removed. Besides a potential kinked line with the filler neck I and uncertain
what the culprit could be. If you have any insight please help. Thanks
