Asked by Remy6673 Dec 05, 2020 at 07:49 PM about the 2005 Jeep Liberty Renegade 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving my jeep down the road when I
heard a clink and the motor just died. I get home
I turn the key nothing. So I check to see if the
motor was sees now was able to move it with
the socket and ratchet. I try to start it over and
all I get is clicks. Like the battery’s dead. I go to
jump it and I don’t get anything. But then when I
take the jumper cables off and try to start it it’s
still just clicks

Put a socket and wrench on the crankshaft and try to turn the motor over in a clockwise rotation and see if the motor turns over. Could either be the cause of low oil or a mechanical failure.
