2017 Camaro V6 to V8

Asked by Greg May 10, 2017 at 12:41 AM about the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro LS Coupe RWD

Question type: Car Customization

Can I switch a Camaro v6 engine for a v8
engine. I don't care about buying a new
transmission or extra stuff. Can it
physically be done?

Yes it can be done but you should just buy a V8 car.

Physically, yes! Cost effective, no! Take a look at the Camaro5 forums. Many people have tried and quit due to the cost. Almost all of the electronics have to be replaced, not just the ECU.

no problem, i am putting my 2008 body on a 1991 chassis for the diesel 4x4. if its your toy make it the way you want. buying a v8 car anyone can do. but if you can do the work and have the time? i would, i would change it to carb also, then no worries on electronics crashing on you... anymore questions? give me a holler i will help as much as i can
