What don't I know about replacing older vehicle dash cluster lights with LED

I  have a 2001 GMC Yukon Denali.  Thought it would be fun to dash it up a
bit so I replaced all interior lights to blue LED.  Fun.  Took it 1 step further
and changed the dash cluster lights to blue LED.  Not fun.  Within a month
half stopped working.  Bad bulbs?  I replaced with new.  Same thing.  Went
back to regular lights with blue caps, but it isn't the same.  Dealer says I have
the 194/95 type lights.  LED bulb factories more than willing to sell me more,
but am I just going to have the same issues?  They start by flickering, then
stop working.  Is it a "quality of LED" issue or a "older GMC model is not
intended or wired for LED's" issue?

Not all LED replacements are good. Just look at the low ratings on Amazon.

Hmmmm, good suggestion. They seemed to have decent reputation and reviews. I guess this is a place to start. As you can tell I'm not an LED expert and I thought since all the LED's looked relatively the same, that they are all the same. Bad assumption. I'll do more research, thanks for the obvious tip!
