My drivers side tail light brake light is not working but light bulb works with lights on.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The top tail light bulb works with lights on but with lights off and pressing brake it doesnt? I am going to change the bulb but doesn't seem like that the bulb would be the answer. Also I removed both screws to remove tail light and when I tried to remove it, it was not coming out. Didnt want to break it so is there a trick to getting it out? Thank you for time and help in advance.

tail light bulbs have 2 filliments inside, you can blow the brake light one and still have the tail light one work, seems like you need a new bulb =) good luck should be an easy fix from discription
Like Michael said it's a two filliment bulb so if one goes the other will still work. If I was you I'd change both bulbs as they like to brake in pairs, so the other one may go out soon.
i am having same problem with mine and its not the bulbs in the daytime no problems, only when all lights are on do i have problem so, basically only at night, when brake is applied the driver rear goes out and turn signal will blink fast when turned on and foot on brake.
Mine's the other way my turn signals work and my brake light work but my tail light won't come on at all so I'm trying to figure out how to fix this problem do you and you know how to fix this
Yes I'm having that sucks same problem I turn light my brake lights work and the one comes to night time the light just won't come on everything else work but the driver side left side light won't turn on but the right one will
Tim did you ever figure out your brake light issue
I replaced my passenger side harness with new bulbs and they still won’t work. My passenger side turn single light works still but not my 3rd brake light or tail light i can’t seem to find the problem anyone know?
