2005 Yukon Denali awd

Asked by fegetta1 Jul 05, 2019 at 11:29 PM about the 2005 GMC Yukon XL Denali 4WD

Question type: General

My Yukon will crank and won’t start, and
battery’s good,  the check engine light stays
on and I checked for codes and no codes are
present, and I check for fire and no spark, I
checked for fuel at the fuel rail and no fuel at
the rail. And when turning the key to try and
start the check engine light stays solid, and
when the check engine light goes off, it starts
like nothing is wrong, any help to why my
truck is doing this, I don’t want to go
somewhere and be stuck. Anyone please
help

1 Answer

I discovered it has a bad fuel pump, and a bad computer, I Replace the computer and my Ignition came back And when I tested fuel the pump would come on then go back off and would not start. I removed the breather and sprayed starting fluid in the intake and the Truck started, The check engine light stayed on is because it could not read the fuel pump. Truck has over 300,000 miles on it so it’s expected for the fuel pump or the computer to go out
