My rear door will not open witht he dash switch or remote.

When you either use the dash ro remote fob switch the door trys to open but the motor will not lift or lower. Could there be a limit switch prevent ign the function.It just seems to hum and do nothing.

You may just need new shocks. Does it make a horrible sound? Are you parked on an incline? Mine won't open if I am parked on a steep downhill grade. Once I pull just a little, it opens the rest of the way fine.
