I want to disconnect battery for storage on my 2012 Denali XL. Manual
recommends that's what I should do. Will that affect computer settings
and/or drivability

You will lose all your radio presets. Everything else will be fine. Your alternative is to buy a battery tender to maintain the battery. A battery tender is a 1 amp charger that will keep the battery topped off.

I don't have power in the storage shed so wiki have to disconnect. Thanks for your answer.
If you plan on storage for a long time, be sure to put some Sta-Bil or equivalent fuel stabilizer in gas. For VERY long time raise car and put jack-stands and get tires off ground
Like Ford says for 6 months or more put Sta-Bil in. It can't hurt to put it in the tank for shorter periods though.
I was more concerned about computer problems on startup as storage will be no more than a month at a time Thanks for your responses.
No worries then You need only remove the -Neg Black Battery cable, no reason to remove both
for 30 days you shouldn't have to do anything at all- a battery will hold a charge that long- ???
Three weeks maximum on my Navigator with a parasitic drain of around 50 ma on a new battery. Don't know the drain on the Denali but guess it would be at least that much.
