1999 explorer "FOOP" THEN QUIT

   Hey guys got a tuffy here, I have a 99 explorer, with 76000 miles on it. It has the 4.0 O.H.V. engine. My niece got it hot, and blew head gaskets. I had a mechanic put two NEW not used heads on it, and was running fine. Then about 150 miles later I heard a "foop" and it quite running, and will not start, wont even try to start, no back fire or anything. I was told to check the cam sensor, but to do this, I have to pull the intake plenum. Is ther anything else I should try first??? HELP!!

Yes, the codes camde up.... cyl. no. 2 and 6 burning lean, and cam sensor. I was told the cam, and crank sensor both use the same codes? didnt make sense to me. Still stuck Matt
