lifted 2002 jeep libery
I have a 2.5 inch lift with 31 inch tires on a 2002 libery. And now i'm kinda screwed if i ever get a flat, because the provided jack doesn't lift it up high enough to change a tire. I was going to use a high/low jack on it but it got the plastic bumpers so i couldn't hook it up there. Is there any possible way to use a high/low jack without getting different/modifying my bumpers? Or will i just need to put blocks under the jack i have now?
i would get one of those little floor jacks that they sell in a case. that way you should not have any problem. autozone sells them and any ohter parts store should

how would that help if your trying to take that tire off???? u wanna lift it from the chassis not the rim itself. use a high lit jack or call AAA otherwise ur gonna need a hydraulic jack but those are a pain in the ass to carry around in your car, they weigh like 100lbs
exactly you can use the hooks to lift from anywhere. i just figured i would put the correct use. Also another solution is to find a stock jack from a large pickup that has taller wheels and tires , like an F350 or a ram 3500. but you would want to lift on the axle not the frame. The axle lifts the wheel directly, the frame lifts the suspension then the axle.

if you think about it you axel is only higher off the ground by half your increased tier size. say you went from 29 to 31 in tires. your axle would only be 1in higher from the road (depending on inflation) so a stock bottle jack should work just fine if you put it under the lowest most point on the side of the axle that you want to lift. aka where the lower control arm meets the axle housing. course with IS like in the liberty it would be the steering knuckle & lower control arm. or you could go easy on yourself & swap out 4 a dana 45 front & rear :P
There are different size bottle jacks, check out walmart they should sell onces that would boost at least up to 33" tires for trucks such as F-350's

You can get some rock sliders for it... Not nerf bars, actual sliders. Mostly used for protecting your rocker panels and such during 'wheeling trips, but they work great for jacking up the entire side of your vehicle with a Hi-Lift
I think if i do that the wieght of the jeep will make the jack lean in and eventually dent the side of it. dont you think? or are they pretty tough pannels?

I have the same senario its called a "bottle jack" I cary one. or you could throw a small 2x4 block in under the seat.
a small bottle jack uncrews almost to the exact height then you Jack it up very very easy solution.

I'm telling you the Air jack is the best way to go. It's great not only for changing a flat, but helping assist in wheeling or recovery.
