How should the intermittent wipers function on a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited when at a complete stop? They're speed sensitive & don't do a full cycle, just weird 1/3 movements, stopping wherever.

Question type: General

I just bought the vehicle and was wondering why the wipers were acting the way they are, and if it isn't designed into the normal function then I'll go have it fixed. They do operate normally when engaged in low or high settings.

It was the wiper motor that was malfunctioning, and the dealer is replacing it as a 'we owe' issue thankfully. Had it been the PCM that would've been an expensive repair that they wouldn't have wanted to do on their dime.
