1999 Ford Explorer power windows

Asked by Dylanbrug Jan 04, 2020 at 01:50 PM about the 1999 Ford Explorer 4 Dr XLT 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So when I bought this car the power windows
didn’t work. I finally figured out why. In the door
hinge there’s the wire harness. When I pulled back
the boot the black and blue wire wasn’t in the
actual harness. All I can find on the internet is
about if the wire snapped in half. Well mine fell out
and I’m wondering how I can fix it. I added a
picture to show the wire. Thank you in advance

If you know where it came out of, push it back in until it clicks and cannot be pulled out by hand. If you dont know where it came from either consult a wiring diagram or inspect the mating connector piece and look for its mate in the same hole you think it came out of (maybe the same color?).

I have tried searching for diagrams online but can’t find any! I’ll try to reconnect the wire later and see if I can find out which one. Thank you!
