99 Ford explorer door locks not working

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Front driver door lock will do lock manually or automatically. It's stuck! Also automatic door
locks will not lock doors but will unlock the other 3 doors. Plz help

Had this problem with my old one years ago. I just lived with it. The guy who bought it from me had to have major "surgery" done to the lock rods/assembly please for your sanity take to someone who is experienced in locks, or your local ford dealer.

It's not a hard fix if your mechanically inclined. Get a Hayes Manuel for your model year and it's explained therein. If you have gorilla hands you may have a small problem. You can get the rods and connectors from your local parts store, they're not expensive.
