The rear hatch of my jeep will not open

There are two thing that could be wrong with it. One its could be flexed out the uni-body, or two it the latch has a plastic safety lock that can come off and disengage the latch handle.

My lock on back is stuck up so it won’t close lock and I even have power locks am I gonna have to take apart and adjust the bar thank you thomas
