Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just talked with FORD... The Rep, said I need a FSA# for the manifold recall, she could not find it in her system using my VIN. I read a few comments regarding this manifold recall in the 1999 Mustangs. To Plead my case I would like to have the FSA#.. I have all the receipts for the repairs. If anyone out there has this number from their recall, I would greatly appreciate it... Thank You!

Thanks for the Bad NEWS... According to the shop that fixed my manifold, the replacement Ford issued manifold he put on, is also made out of plastic, like the original...an after market manifold which is cast metal would not fit properly. This shop builds and repairs race cars, as well as doing engine work on hi performance cars... They came highly recommended by the mechanic that services all our vehicles... Shame on Ford for this inferior design...So the question is, will this replacement manifold succumb to the same fate?
