xr6 2008 fg manual says it its about 6.5L of oil but
even 5L makes it overfill and shows way above the
maximum level pn the dipstick

You only put enough oil into the engine to fill it up only to the full line on the dipstick. You do not want it overfull. It should only take 4 to 4.7L of oil. 6.5L is too much oil.

i realised but in the book it says 6.5L and i am kinda confused but thanks
Just do not fill it over the full line. I do not see a listing for a 2007 Ford Falcon. What size engine does this have?
Ford Falcons where made back in the '60s.
You still have too much oil, most engines only take 4 to 4.7L of oil. Only fill to the full line on the dipstick.
Fg takes over 6 litres, as it’s a longer service interval. Don’t believe Rowefast... he’s back in the XD-XF falcon days. BEST BET, look it up, don’t believe the hype here.
how many liter putt oil in gairbox in ford falcon xr6 2009 model
6.5L on the FG Falcon is "dry fill" volume. When you do an oil change, you are still left with old oil in some parts hence not using full 6.5L.
Yes, that's right. When I let my FG XR6 non-turbo Falcon drain long and thoroughly during an engine oil and filter change, it only takes 6 litres of new oil to reach the full level on the dipstick. I guess there's quite a bit of old oil resting in all the many galleries and other nooks and crannies of this big 4-litre engine. Best not to risk overfilling. Incidentally, I've found that Nulon full synthetic 5W- 30 long life oil suits my engine perfectly. It just purrs like a happy kitten, even with 170,000 km on the clock.
