Mileage on Jeep Cherokee XJ

American cars are usually carefree as long as they are maintained properly, can go for over 200,000 miles easily! Just stay away from German luxury cars. Jeep Cherokee is a safe bet.

I've seen loads of Cherokee 4.0L going way beyond 300,000. I have also seen a couple over 400,000 and one over 500,000. Take care of it, and even though they are quirky, they last forever. One of the greatest engines ever built, bar none!

I have two cherokees, one with 248,000 and the other with 340,000. Both run great and are going strong

I have a jeep Cherokee xj and i was gonna sell it today and this kid that was gonna buy it he wanted it but his mom told him no because it had 214 on the odometer but i changed the transmission for one with 105k miles on it amd she told him no because it was gonna breake

Im currently at 483k miles on my 97 XJ. it still runs great.

I also have one cherokee at 250,000 and one at 340,000. The 250,000 is only low because I have about 125,000 on my bike

My 2001 XJ just made 350,000 and going strong despite a relatively modest level of maintenance that I have been providing. Per my New Year resolution it will get better care from now on. This is the best ride that I have ever had.

My 1997 ZJ just made 336,000 original miles and is still running great.
