The axle ratio on the 4 banger is 4.10. The axles are dana 30 front and dana 35 rear. The transmission is also an AX-5 which is different from the 6 cyl's AX-15. I owned a 4 cyl and a 6 cyl Jeep and I can tell you that the 4 cyl is still a really good engine. The lower gearing helps it to accelerate quicker than you might think. The 4 cyl is actually kinda fun in its own way. It does however feel like it is lacking power in some cases like passing on the highway.
