Overheating

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
When I turn my A/C on it's fine until I come to a stop for a length of time then it overheats. Also when I turn my heater on it doesn't get as hot as it should, especially for winter temps. Does this sound like a thermostat problem?? The guy at Autozone told me it sounds like something different than a thermostat...

an easy fix would be the thermostat but even at an idle if it was stuck closed it would still overheat ,,did you try flushing out the radiator/heater core system hoses
Could be in need of a flush...or a thermostat...or water pump. ..Or just low on coolant
Id say have you cooling system flushed. I also have a 98 wrangler and I had to buy a new radiator because mine was so stopped up with junk. But when I would come to an idle mine be fine and when i took off it would overheard and it was jus because my radiator was clogged. Besides a new radiator on ebay is only like $75 I believe and its jus nice to have lol
