Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Got in my Jeep last night and tried to turn on but there was no electrical present. Disconnected the neg terminal on the battery, reconnected and went to start. Turned key, lights on dash, but when I tried to turn over, it just clicked and went dead. No electrical present again. Any ideas or suggestions please?????

ya...the main ground as is connected to the chassis is full of corrosion and not making full contact from SALT or electrical corrosion created from dis- similar metals with the high-amperage connection to start the engine with the starter motor~ the battery posts could be skippy-fresh, but the other end of the cable that connects to the chassis ground is corroded~....unbolt the lug and wirebrush the chassis and the lug too for restored electrical potential~
Ok thanks! I wil give it a try...
maybe your battery is dead? try new battery and go from there.. hope this helps
Check the main wires connected to the battery both negative and positive. I had the same issue and to fix it I took the main wire off ( the biggest one) and I stripped it to new wire and connected again and it worked just fine after
Ditto on stripping the wires to the battery. I have also had mine stall & not restart at a light & recently lost power on a highway.
