Why does my 1997 Jeep Cherokee die while I'm driving it.

Asked by Shelbo Nov 27, 2016 at 08:42 PM about the 1997 Jeep Cherokee SE 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently had my '97 Jeep Cherokee taken to a shop and looked at because I
would be driving and then it would just die without warning, and not crank up
again. They fixed the problem (so I thought) by fixing the oil pressure meter. I
ran beautifully for a while, but now it's dying like before. What could it be?

I've already replaced the distributor cap, spark plugs and wires, as well as the harmonic balancer and battery.
