Car won’t start but cranks and try’s to

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 1998 Honda Accord ex V6. It has a lot of
sentimental value to me so giving up isn’t and option need
advice! I let my sister drive it while I was out of state at
colleg and it ran for about week when I came back and
then wouldn’t start. So I thought it was the starter I
replaced it and now my car tries to start it turns over and
makes like a noise almost like a clicking. Recently just got
a brand new battery and all new fuses. Has anyone had
the same problem and or know what it could be

no to be rude here...but how is the fuel filter...NEW or is it 3-21 years old?
Not really sure. But could that be it? Do you have any other ideas of what it could be?
I even tried to start it with jumper cables connected just in case and it did the same thing it turned over and tried to start it like clicked (don’t really know how to exactly explain the noise) but it made a crazy noise and tried to start but wouldn’t

put a little gas in the "carb" see if it fires up , if it does you know it's a fuel problem , the thing about fuel filters in an old car is that the connections are rusted and won't really loosen they're probably going to break so if you do the fuel pump replace those lines and filter too ,, if the batt. and all connections are good it should turn over without a problem , just because it's old doesn't mean it ain't good , I read about newer cars on line and the problems they have so I hang on to and repair mt older vehicles , compared to a car /insurance payment every month it's well worth it to me .
