if you want to aviod the rubbing just do a small body lift or a 2inch body lift that way you could get 32inch tires and if it rubs some where see if its somthin you can just cut. i have a 90 yj but i have tj fender flairs on it that way i could cut out atleast 1 to 2 inches of the fender to fit bigger tires on it

Don't pay attention to the comments stating you'll rub. Rubbing has nothing to do with the size of the rim and everything to do with the backspacing. Since the Rubi wheels have more backspacing they stick out slightly further than the 97' year model wheels (they only have 5 - 5 1/2" BS versus it being greater on the Rubis.) The bolt pattern is the same, so yes, you can run those wheels. Just make sure you don't exceed a 31" tire on stock suspension otherwise you'll severely cripple your suspension, as well as drive-ability. You will rub (if you can even fit the tire on) without any lift unless you trim (as stated in other replies) or go with tube fenders etc. to give you more wheel well clearance.
