How do I get my 1997wrangle Sahara lights to quit flashing and start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Left the door open and killed the battery hook up jumper cable all the dash lights came on but turn key to start
nothing happened wouldn't start but the lights start flashing and it sounds like the emrgency flashers are on plus
there is a red light flashin on the dash I haven't seen before I suspect that previous owner had alarm system hooked
up but can't find any hooked up any where is my jeep posessed ? Any one have any ideas

You may not be getting enough juice from the donor battery. Let the vehicle idle for a bit and let it charge the jeep battery. It's possible the jeep battery has an internal dead short in it now too. If the lights stop as soon as you remove the jumper cable, get a new battery. If it has an alarm..........can't help you from here.
