Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT with RABS only and all three brake lights do not work. I have replaced the brake light switch, bulbs, and fuses all relating to the brakes. There seems to be no power to the brake switch. Any suggestions?

the easiest way to sort this is simply to run a live wire direct to the switch and eliminate the existing wire (remove fuse) in the new wire I would simply put an in line fuse in to be safe all available from any good motor factors

fixed it. the main split wire harness that's located just under the tailgate and bumper "looked" connected, but after closer inspection and a quick cleaning, it was not fully connected. A noticeable "click" was heard after I pushed it together. they work now.
