Asked by Carlos Nov 10, 2015 at 07:51 PM about the 1993 Jeep Cherokee Country 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1993 Jeep Cherokee takes a while to engage transmission in the morning and evening -- have to rev the engine up to 3 or 4K RPM to get a BUMP and then the car drives just fine -- But I dont want to rev up the engine and why is the transmission slipping?  What is the solution?  Any help

Check and see if the transmission fluid level is low. You might want to change the trans fluid and filter if you have not done so in the last 30,000 miles.
