is it a new or a reman alternator if it is a reman alternator than it could be bad
Ck alternator plug in connector. Fuses also. Also rebuilt alternators are known for being crap so remove it and take it to where you bought it. Have them ck it in store (they should do that for free) and if its bad have them ck the one they replace it with b4 you leave the store. Again...esp. really cheap rebuilt alternators are notorious for being crap. Cheap for a reason. Iv'e had 4 in a row bad. Also maybe ck position alternator is in. Sounds crazy but Ford had a problem with that in the 90's. Had a 90 5.0 mustang kept frying alts. and bats. over and over. Turned out to be position affecting the connector plug. Just so much fun. Hope this helps.
