overheating problem

HI..i drive a corsa lite 1.6is 2000 model and i have just put in new rings,
bearing, valve stem seals and gasket but i did not take the cylinder head for
skimming so the car overheats especially when m in traffic, what could be the
problem? should i take the cylinder head for skimming because there are no
water leaks.

No, its probaly thermostat not opening properly or fan comes on to late heatswitch check those first, no need to sceem head unless is mixes water and oil.
