Oil light come on irradicably

I have a Opel Corsa 2003 1400i, when I apply brakes the oil light comes on, as
well as when my car idles at the robot, but when the accelerator is applied the
oil light goes off, I have ensure there is enough oil in the engin as per the dip
stick and the oil pump was changed 8 months ago, any odeas why this is
happening?

Excessive bearing clearance, cam bearings are the usual cause of this but you should run an oil pressure test just to be certain it’s not just the sender. If the oil pressure drops even with a test unit then engine work in required or just sell it.

Sounds like you are either low on oil or the new pump is not sensing properly, making it send a signal when it is not really in need if oil.
