Transmission wont shift down gears

Asked by Mike Sep 12, 2021 at 11:47 AM about the 1999 Ford Ranger XL Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Trans wont drop in lower gears to move had a sensor wire
that came from on top of transmission it touch metal and
sparked and now it wont shift down

Did you fix the sensor wire? Sometimes a transmission will go into limp mode and only stay in one gear. Did you check all your fuses and did you sensors test out good?
