no spark from the coil

And also, if this is the 2.5L engine, there is a ignition control module on the inside fender well that is a common problem. This could be tested at an auto parts store. One other thing to check would be to take the distributor cap off, and try and turn the rotor while it is in place, this checks to see if the pin is not sheared on the distributor gear. The rotor should not turn. And a good evening to you TM.
