Honda CR-V 2017 - All warning coming and vanishing randomly

I have a Honda CRV AWD 2017, having an intermittent issue. All warning
lights are
turned on randomly (Electronic brake system, TPMS, Hill Climb assist, etc)
and
remain on for some time (a few minutes, hours, days), and then all of these
warnings vanishes after some time and driving a few miles (this also varies,
sometimes warning stays for more than 3 days with multiple restarts).  Also,
the
car works well without any actual issues. The only issue which bothers me is
that
the cruise control is disabled as adaptive cruise control warnings also
coming.

This is happening randomly but after getting the battery changed just 6
months
back it is more frequent now. Tried to contact Honda USA over email, but
they
asked me to visit and get the car diagnosed by a local Honda dealer.

I visited one Honda dealer for this issue 5 weeks back, they told me to leave
the
car with them and they will check when this issue will occur, which I refused
as
they were not providing any timelines and no loaner car was available.

Again visited another Honda dealer, they took the car in the morning and by
afternoon they told me that all these warnings are due to bad fuel injectors
and
that is why my "car is consuming too much fuel". This is shocking as my car
is
giving very good gas mileage both locally and on the highway. So I doubt
that fuel
injectors are the real cause.

Has anyone experienced the same issues?

I am feeling that Neither Honda USA nor Honda dealers are serious to
handle this
issue. Can anyone please share what can be done to get this issue
resolved? Is
there any petition/court case going on which one can join? Thanks.

Ed92626 - Thanks for sharing your view. Does fuel injector replacement is a major repair that requires opening up the engine? Also, a few people in the old thread reported that even after the change of fuel injectors, they still have the same issue.

with no satisfaction from 2 Honda dealers, which is rare, you need to contact Honda North America.

Just took my car to my Honda dealer with the same problem. They diagnosed it as needing new fuel injectors. Luckily, it's covered under my warranty. I'll see when I pick it up tomorrow.

It's not at all an issue related to fuel injectors. This somehow seems that sensors and software running out of sync. Like the Boeing 737 Max issue. A few days back I got a call from one of my friends, who got the same Honda CRV model in 2017. He also reported having the same issue of random warning lights coming and going. He went to a local Honda dealer and the same fuel injector story was told by the dealer. Strangely in my case, the dealer told me that my car is having a fuel injectors problem AND that's why my car is having low MPG. Instantly I got that this ball will be rolling like this between Honda USA and Honda Dealers. Neither of these is going to take responsibility. My car is giving above average MPG and sometimes even better. The same is the MPG for my friend's CRV. Neither I nor my friend ever had a below-average MPG issue, but we both got the same reason from dealers after "Diagnostics". I tried to approach another Honda dealer in my area, and he blows off my mind. He told me to leave the car with him and once the issue arises, he can diagnose it and will let me know. On top of that, he is not ready to give a loaner car. As the issue is occurring randomly, sometimes It can arise every day, a few times it's not there even for months. And after this issue comes, it can remain for weeks or even just for a few minutes. Honda USA must take an action in this as they are putting everyone at risk. Maybe when there is a real warning, a person might think it is a fake one and ignore it and can put himself and others in danger.

I've been having the lights flashing issue since my car had only 34,000 miles. I was told by the selling dealer that all the lights had to be on in order for it to be diagnosed. It would only stay on here and there. I got the service bulletin and updated the software blah blah blah. Now, a couple of years later at 104,000 miles - the lights are on ALL THE TIME dealer said it is a bad fuel injector; codes p0172 and p0303. Honda refuses to cover the fuel injectors under the powertrain warranty extension of bulletin 19-037. I think this should be a class action lawsuit. The extension should cover any components affected by the oil dilution issue. Question is, how does one start a class action lawsuit?

I have a 2017 Honda CR-V EXL that got into an accident recently, with cosmetic damages to the front portion of the vehicle, after I got the car repaired from the local honda dealer, all the lights started turning on as well. I had brought the car back three times and was told that the fuel injector needed to be replaced. I am looking for more information on whether it is really the fuel injector because the warning lights will turn off after they run a test and fix all faulty lights then the lights will come back on again in about a week.

I am experiencing the same things. I have noticed a high pitched dentist drill like noise when I accelerate above 30mph. I have been told 2 different things as well. One dealership insists it is the fuel injectors while the other insists it is the Bulletin 19-032 https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10158738-0001.pdf which has a 6 year extended warranty. Unfortunately for me, mine is 2 months past.

Yep, sounds like the Classic Fuel Injector issue - LOT's of other posts online at the CR-V Forum's website (it's stickied up there it's so common) and on YouTube where folks show how to change them - not too difficult but not too easy either - Honda should be covering this under an extended Injector warranty (10years - 150k miles) like they had to do with the 2018-19 Odyssey, 2016-19 Pilot, 2017-19 Ridgeline V6 Fuel Injector issues. These 1.5L Turbo engines are new to Direct Fuel Injection and the problem seems to come up at 75k miles or so. If you work with your dealer & American Honda, they may pay for the parts but leave you stuck with the Labor (~$400-500).

Same diagnosis here @ 76K miles - out of warranty (84 mos or 76K miles). Fuel injector kit $603.86, labor $1435.88 = $2275 OUCH! AND the parts are taking 3-6 weeks to order. Called local repair shop, if I purchase just fuel injectors they can install for $700 labor, but they can NOT install an injector kit. Does anyone know why I would need a kit (I guess comes with fuel pipe) over just the injectors?

Honda has quietly changed the Part # on the Injectors. Make SURE that you are getting the NEW part # installed going forward - look as this internal notification to ensure you are NOT getting an old part # replacement injector. Hopefully this Part # change is key to resolving this issue, as the issue is beginning to now be documented as occurring multiple times on the same vehicle. All 2017+ CR-V's are ticking timebombs as to when this event will happen to them. For everyone else who has had this issue - you MAY strongly want to consider filing a report with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem#vehicle This injector issue disables KEY safety features of our CR-V's when it occurs. An injector issue should NOT cause safety features of the CR-V to stop working (ex. Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, TPS, Hill Start Assist, Braking, etc...) In addition to the disabling key safety features, some CR-V's have reportedly gone into limp mode while at highway speeds. If this occurs to you while you have a 18 wheeler on your rear, you could potentially be in a serious injury/life event.

Been experiencing the same issue with my 2017 CR-V. In and out of dealerships....ect. ect. Finally decided to replace the injectors myself due to the absurd dealer cost. It's not that complicated or difficult job, especially for someone that does it often. Anyway....to the point. First of all I learned that the original part has been discontinued and the manufacturer has changed along with the part number. Why???? Because of a manufacturer defect in an unspecified number of injectors installed in an unspecified number of 2017 CR-V's I removed my injectors and that is exactly what I found. All 4 had the same damage in the same locations with various degrees of severity. This damage is at the fuel rail end and can lead to shattering of the inlet nozzle which was the case with two out of four of mine. I just discovered this just hours ago so I have not yet but certainly intend to take this issue up with Honda. The fact that this is a manufacturing defect is undeniable. No doubt they have changed the part number. It's time to fess up Honda! You got splainin to do and start making things right with folks.

2017 CR V EX AWD owner 65,000 miles; same issue with all warning lights coming on past 3 mos. Taking it in for the 3rd time. Am I reading that the top cause for this could be the fuel injectors? I don't understand how fuel injectors would cause this i.e. it seems to me would be more of a "computer or electrical problem"? I don't know cars or what fuel injectors do/effect! I've long had problems with the touch screen display i.e. going black, doesn't respond to touch & the auto walk away locking not always working causing a prolonged trilling beep to tell you car not locked. Could ALL this be related & thus "a computer sensing electronic issue" and not fuel injectors? TIA JMM

2017 CR-V EX, 162k miles. I've experienced all of the dashboard lights and warnings going off a couple times. Both times it was associated with the battery going bad. If I remember correctly, the lights went away after replacing the battery AND driving 15-30 miles on the new battery. When everything seems to go bad all at once like that, it's probably electrical (battery, alternator, grounding issue, etc.), IMO. I ran into the fuel injector issue (rough while idling, then when driving, and codes indicating a fuel injector issue). I had to replace them but never had all of the warning lights turn on. Just sharing what've I've experienced. Don't get me started on the fuel injectors! Grrrgh.
