The CR-V's rearview camera anytime actuation?

I see the latest CR-V's have rear facing camera.
I see that the camera automatically turns on when the car is put in reverse.
QUESTION:
Can the rearview camera be actuated anytime the drivers wants it, or does it only turn on when the car is put in reverse?

This is a response to the answer given. Well that's sad. I thought HONDA had more sense. Phooey. Thanks much for the information.

This is a safety issue. Honda does not want people looking backwards when driving down the road.

So they take out the rear view mirrors? This is now available on Toyota.
