Delores alarm

Asked by Joey Jun 10, 2018 at 07:25 PM about the 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just replaced the battery in our 1981 Delorean after being in storage. There is an alarm/beeping sound that is similar to the open door chime. Have checked doors to make sure they are latched. No indicator lights on dash. Does anyone have an idea what this could be? Thanks in advance for any assistance?

First - unplug the connectors for the door switches. You can easily reach them right behind the switches. Keep track of which is which. Second - what city are you in? There are a lot of other DeLorean owners around that love to help with this kind of stuff :)
