lift gear stuck in park

Do you mean gear shift? If so, I am not sure if there is a manual release like in the cars.
Yes this is RV thor ford 1989 the transmition lift gear stuck in park position and trying pressing the break pedal dosent work and the parking break light is on but I can't find the parking break realse or pedal not parking break pedal.
It may be a bad fuse or relay. Remember that by 1989 many features were already control by the computer. Check the manual, if you have it, to see where the fuse/relay is located.
I contacted a friend that works for a local RV distributor, he says that it could be the brake release actuator that is bad. If your model is equipped with the auto park system, the brake lamp switch energizes a solenoid allowing the shift lever to be released from the park position. The linkage may be dry or worn as the ignition tumbler is in the tilt portion of the column and the switch is lower on the column. Try removing the upper and lower column shroud halves and lubricate moving parts with silicon spray. __________________
