I just purchased a 2017 Dodge Challenger for my son.

Question type: General
I noticed the top speed was at 101, does that mean he drove it that fast or maybe someone who test drove it before we got it, drove it that fast? I'm concerned because that car may be too fast for him, well let's be realistic, I know it is!! He's only 18!!!

Now you worry about your son driving fast? You bought him the fast car! Check this out --- http://www.highwayguardian.com/products
I hope you did not buy him the hemi!
No not the Hemi, but the car is still fast. We were in the process of putting the Umbi car reader into the diagnostics port when we discovered the top speed. Do you know when and how this is calculated? Is it every time the car starts or over a period of time, etc?
An 18 year old driving a 2017 Challenger. I would be surprised if he didn't get it up to a hundred at least once, lol.
I would read the instructions that came with the Umbi reader to know when the top speed was achieved. That data may be in the system. You probably can erase the old data so all the data is new. If I had that car when I was 18, it would have been 120!
That car is definitely not a good idea for an 18 year old. God bless him ..
