Fuel pump fuse location

You don't have one. You have a mechanical fuel pump bolted to the side of the engine. Jim
James, thank you for answering my question. You're actually correct, however when I bought my Elko, it was noted that an electric fuel pump replaced the mechanical one and the fuel pump is in the gas tank. If you have any more advice, I welcome it and appreciate you. Thnx
Then someone has modified the vehicle. You need to check if it is carbureted or has been converted to fuel injection or has a totally different operating system from the old school system. If it has been modified then the only way to find it is to trace wiring from the fuel tank to the control center.
Yes, G A is right. It's been modified from the original set of that came from the factory. You'll need to trace the fuel lines, starting from the engine and work your way back to the gas tank. Most likely you'll find it bolted to the frame side rail or possibly the crossmember. Once you find the pump you can trace the wires and see how it's hooked up. I doubt it's inside the gas tank unless that was replaced with a newer model's tank that had the provision for the electric fuel pump from the factory. Hope that helps! Jim
It's carbuerated .. I have a Barry Grant 650 Demon QUAD carburetor on it, would that make a difference? The reason I believe it's a fuse us because when I changed out the fuses is when I started having problems. The starter cranks, however the engine won't start and I don't smell any gas. When I prime the engine with gas, it's starts for a few seconds. Is it possible that the problem might be the fuel pressure regulator? Or maybe I put the wires incorrectly on the fuse box? Again thanks.
GA, I have tried answering you, this sight is a little bit difficult to figure out, however thank you for your response.
It sounds like the rig has been modded. Some pictures of the fuse box, the passenger side of the engine and maybe under the vehicle at least that would somewhat give us an idea on some of the mods.
Thank you GA. I should also mention that when this happen, my gauges, instrument lights longer come on. My head lights don't come on either
Ignition switch or main power is not getting where it should be.
A good test light or voltmeter and start checking circuits that should have power when the key is on and when the key is in the crank position. There should be some fuselinks down by the starter right where the main power cable is connected, if nobody has redone the system.
Ok, that's good advice and I'll check into it. I did change the starter just before this happened. The starter did and still does crank, but now that I think about it, I had to replace the ring connector on the small post on the starter. I'm not sure if the system has been redone, bought as is. I will post pics asap. Thanks again
Great, I will be watching the post.
So I got the power problem solve, circuit breaker was shot, replaced it and the fuel pump activated as well as my digital gauges, instrument lights, headlamps, etc. However fuel was not making it to the carb. Did some troubleshooting and figured out the fuel pressure regulator was not working. Replaced it and the fuel gets to the carb but it seems like not enough. I've adjusted the regulator and it wants to start but doesn't seem to get enough fuel. So, I would appreciate any advice that can help. I'm right there and anxious to get my Elko on the road. Thank you again for all your help
