Question type: Maintenance & Repair

went to start my car and it just kept turning
over after a few times smoke came from the
starter and now battery is dead put new
battery in and the same thing it just acts like
a dead battery clicking and I noticed a bunch
of smoke coming from the starter.I have a
bad power steering hose that's been leaking
fluid all over everything I wonder if it had
messed up the starter or solenoid because
the new battery acted like it was dead as
well. Please help

Check battery cables both ends, it sounds like a bad starter, do this, tap the starter with a hammer while someone try's starting it, if it starts the starter is bad. That doesn't always work but it might help if you need to move it. I hope this helps,
