Jack up a rear wheel and maybe you will feel the drag, maybe you will hear a noise, there are brakes and bearings that can howl and become more noticeable at higher speed. I say roar for exhaust sounds and howl to describe wheel sounds (completely different from a squeal or a squeak) Whatever it is,please do not ignore it because your car is trying to warn of impeding doom.
