a filament in one globe may have broke loose and connected to the other filament in the same globe feeding currant in reverse ,all in one light bulb that would be the stop and park double filament bulbs only,
Have replaced bulbs in rear tail lights, have removed blinker switch from steering column and cleaned terminals, have checked brake light switch, right turn signal still hangs up and cancels out left brake light. Both brake lights work when applied
a wire is crossed someplace , un plug the brake switch wire and see if things work, if so the tail lights wires are crossed someplace
Unplugged brake switch, right turn signal still hangs on. Can't understand why it cancels out left brake light when right turn signal is on, could it be the turn signal switch itself, and is there anyway to test it?
check on grounds on circuit.
how about bulbs up front, the double filament signal bulbs they are on that same wire line
Checked all the bulbs, no broken filaments, I used a test light at the blinker switch inside the steering column where the wiring comes off the switch, left side blinks, right side hangs up, It appears to be the switch itself. Thanks for all your suggestions, I'll let you know what happens.
Okay, replaced turn signal switch inside steering column, replaced left tail light assembly, I now have right turn signal, but it still cancels out my left brake light! When applied both brake lights work, both turn signals work, but when brake is applied to right turn signal, left brake light doesn't work. Right brake light works with left turn signal. Any suggestions !!!!!
