72 Chevy Cheyenne Waa Waa Waa then new battery dies (Girl Question)

Just got up and running, now  Whaa whaa whaa and then the battery seems
dead. Won't start consistently. Starts with a good jump? Battery new and tested.
Grandpas Truck, one owner 160 on new engine. 63,k on truck...Man I miss

Check and clean the battery terminal connections. Also check that the alternator is charging, should have 13+volts when engine is running. If you do not have a volt meter, a local auto parts store may be able to check it for you.

Check the negative ground from the negative battery terminal to the engine block. remove the connection at the engine block, use some emery cloth or sand paper to clean the connections and reinstall.
